It is 'One' but by 'Two'
The above statue is in a very popular temple at Tamilnadu, India. If we want to know the real meaning of this statue, we need to know the real intention of the artist. This art has got the same details as in other works.
Ancient scholars were very mischievous in their arts. They were very bold to tell the truth. They have had very good knowledge about the universe and its behavior. The real or true knowledge of universe is called as 'wisdom'. 'Nothing' is their real concept. Life is not as what we think, and God is not as what we think. So they did not care about worldly life and they easily criticized the mankind and their wrong belief on God and other worldly things.
Actually, here, the artist explains through this art that the priest asks the lady to show the true knowledge of God. You could see some pictures from my other articles, some nude posture to show the 'Truth', that is the true knowledge as 'Two in One'.
The lady replied him that you needn't see it through what I have had. The same detail is within you. You see your beard, and even it is as 'one but by two parts'. The artist said through this art is that the true knowledge of God is in everywhere and in every object of this world.
Thank you.
